SILENT DISCO!

Ayres Multi-Cultural Center

This Saturday, November 16, Sewanee will experience its first SILENT DISCO! Silent Disco was a big hit at Bonnaroo this summer, and according to those in attendance, it was "a crazy sight to behold, and even crazier to partake in!"

Our silent disco will have three stations, three DJs, and 275 sets of headphones. A fourth sound system will play ambient music for those without headphones.

Popularized on the west coast, Silent Disco is an event where a group of people all "rock out" to the same song playing on individual headphones. The best part? Onlookers cannot hear the song in the headphones and the group looks totally WILD!

The event will feature  "trap music" by DJ Vallee (former Sewanee Sigma Nu) from Atlanta.  DJ Killtron (international, Latino music) and DJ Taylor Effin Cleveland (funky-soul and hip-hop), from Dallas, Texas.

The first five faculty members to arrive will receive gift certificates!!

Come out Saturday night for a new experience and a great event.  We will have coffee and tea from Stirlings and the event is BYOB 21, six-pack and no glass.
