Outreach and Community Engagement

The Outreach Office encourages students to use their passions and talents to serve others in domestic, national, and international locations by providing opportunities for students to engage in outreach. Student commitment to social responsibility has always been a large part of the University's history and tradition and it is our hope to continue to pursue that responsibility. As a student, you have the opportunity to be a part of this ongoing endeavor to serve those in the greater community which lies beyond the gates of the Domain. We hope you will join in accepting our challenge to experience outreach work during your time on the Mountain by participating in one of the many programs we offer. Whether you commit to volunteer with a group of students once a week at a local non-profit, or pursue your own interests through a service internship, or offer your time through serving in a foreign location during spring break, the outreach office has a multitude of ways that you, too, can be involved.

If you are interested in becoming involved in Outreach, stop by the office for an informal interview and assessment. Outreach Office staff will ask you questions about your interests, talents, and passions and then partner you with student-run or local non-profit organizations.
