UHS do​es file insurance for its patients. There is a $20 office co-pay for all students who are seen by a provider (physician or nurse practitioner). This co-pay can be billed to your student account. If a student is seen by a provider, that office visit will be filed to the student’s insurance, as well as any other services, such as labs, rendered during that visit. If the student's insurance provides limited or no benefits for UHS services, then the student's account will be billed.

We do offer a student health insurance plan through United Healthcare. This policy covers students for any health care they may receive while they are attending the University. It is a year long policy beginning on August 1st and ending on July 31st. Unfortunately, it does not cover varsity athletes. For information about this plan please call our office.
